Let’s start off with some basics on our pricing.
We sell engines two different ways. When you order a "Drop Out" engine it comes complete with all the accessories including starter, alternator, PS pump, air flow meter air induction tube, O2 sensors, exhaust down spouts, OEM engine wire harness and ECM. When you order a regular engine from us it doesn’t come with any accessories. It is just a basic engine.
When you order a “Stand Alone” harness from us (that isn’t part of a package) it is $750 for the modified harness and ECM and when you have us modify a harness that you send in to us its $550.
If you purchase a Drop Out engine and decide to upgrade to a Stand Alone package then we lower the Stand Alone harness conversion price from $550 to $500. If you purchase a basic engine and decide to upgrade to a Stand Alone package then we reduce the price of the harness from $750 to $700 AND we include all the accessories you need to run the engine that would normally come with a Drop Out engine.
The engine prices vary with mileage, but let's get a basic idea of how we price our engine. Since these engines are going 300,000 to 400,000 miles without any issues we consider anything under 100,000 as low mileage, anything with 100,000 to 150,000 average/mid mileage and 150,000 to 225,000 as high mileage. With that in mind …
LR4 4.8 (270 HP) - $500-$700 for a basic engine or $700-$900 for a Drop Out package
LM7 5.3 (285HP) - $600-$800 for a basic engine or $800-$1000 for a Drop Out package
L33 5.3 (310 HP) - $1400-$1800 for a basic engine or $1600-$2000 for a Drop Out package
LQ4 6.0 (300 HP) - $800-$1200 for a basic engine or $1000-$1400 for a Drop Out package
LQ9 6.0 (345 HP) - $1400-$1800 for a basic engine or $1600-$2000 for a Drop Out package
LQ10 6.0 (395 HP) REBUILT ENGINE $3895.95 Complete (No Harness or ECM included) or $4395.95 for a Complete Stand Alone Engine Package as pictured below!
Of course, like anything there are always exceptions, but this will give you a good idea of our basic engine pricing.
The only other immediate consideration would be the difference between FBC (Fly By Cable) and FBW (Fly By Wire). The FBC is the old fashioned throttle cable connecting the throttle pedal to the throttle body. There is no cable with the FBW set up. It uses an “electronic” throttle pedal that is connected to a TAC (Throttle Actuation Control) Module which is then connected to the throttle body. If you go with a FBW engine package then you will need the pedal, TAC module and connecting harness. These items typically sell for $150, but when we’re including them as part of a package then the price is reduced to $100.
The 4L60E automatic transmission runs about $550-$650
The 4L80E automatic transmission runs about $700-$850
The NV3500 manual transmission runs about $700-$850
The NV4500 manual transmission (When we can get them) runs about $1000-$1250
This is our “LQ10”! It’s a Completely Rebuilt Stand Alone 6.0L LQ4 LS engine from a 1999 to 2006 Chevy / GMC 2500 truck with an LS6 Cam. We call this the LQ10! This is combo should make about 395HP as the 5.7L LS6 & the Trailblazer SS LS2 6.0L engines do. This is a stock engine that has been rebuilt. The Rebuild consists of a local machine shop replacing the Rings, Cam & Bearings, Main & Rod Bearings, Oil Pump, Timing Gear Set & Chain, Gaskets, Valve Job & Plain Heads and New Valve Springs. They reuse the Block, Pistons & Crank after cleaning & inspection. Generally speaking all of the peripheral parts like the Starter, Alternator, water pump, intake, and exhaust manifold ect. are used parts also. We include an Oil Pan (Deep Truck style) and LS6 Cam (Specs 204/218 at .050 .550/.550 lift 117.5 LSA), Valve Springs and Lifters, the Good 799 Heads and the engine comes complete as pictured with our reworked Stand Alone Harness & ECM. This engine is a perfect LSx swap for your project!

The LQ4 that I purchased from you runs fantastic. I just got it dyno tuned and it pulled 310hp to the wheels with 389 ft lbs. It never got hot or lost any oil pressure. I plan on installing a Texas Speed Cam over the winter but for now I'm enjoying my modern fuel injected motor. I honestly don't miss the 383 stroker I had in it. I drove 68 miles this morning and barely used any gas doing it. Thanks to you guys I get to keep my old car but have the reliability of a new car. I couldn't be any happier. My son and I are already planning our next LSX swap and we will be back to see you guys when we are ready to buy it.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for supplying us with great options for procuring LSx motors and accessories for our vehicles. I recently purchased a 6.0 LQ4 from you this past January. As you can see in my videos, we did a frame-off install with a 6-speed manual in my 1972 Chevy C10 (since converted to a 67), which is bagged. It is a hoot! Thanks for all that you do! I ordered a 5.3 stand alone "Express" Van harness for my Mustang and I just wanted to let you know it made the install a snap. I literally pulled the ecu and harness out of the box and started the engine 2 hours later. I mounted the ECU in the passenger compartment and that made it very nice. I was just passing along my positive experience!
